Loreena McKennitt

Probabil puţini ştiu că sunt un fan declarat al ei. Îmi place la nebunie Loreena McKennitt. Şi piesa asta de pe albumul The Mask And Mirror e una dintre preferatele mele.

Deşi stilul nu e unul (evident..) uşor digerabil, vocea ei mi se pare extraordinară. Stilul e irish şi există o chestie legată de Loreena pe care nu mulţi o ştiu (dacă au auzit de ea) şi anume că piesele ei sunt pe coloanele sonore la o grămadă de filme cu legende.

Dar două lucruri m-au uimit la această voce extraordinară:

1. deşi stilul ei muzical este irish ea nu are nici o legătură cu Irlanda sau măcar Anglia. Ea este canadiancă, dar probabil stilul ăsta a reprezentat-o pe ea cel mai bine.
2. primul ei album, a fost scos la … casa EI de discuri (quinlanroad). câţi artişti fac asta în ziua de azi?

Dar mai multe puteţi citi pe siteul ei oficial unde puteţi asculta şi alte piese ale artistei precum şi citi versurile acesteia.
